Step 3: Configuring WordPress
It's a good idea to have the Antler Licence Key that was emailed to you shortly after you made your purchase handy.Log in to your WordPress Admin panel. You can do this by visiting this URL
http://example.com/wp-admin
Remember, visit your own domain name instead of example.com
This is the screen you will see:

You may want to bookmark this page since it will always remain the admin page for your Antler run website.
Now enter the WordPress Admin Username and Admin Password you set in Step 1 and click on Log In
You will now be logged into the WordPress Admin, please click on Plugins ▷ Add New in the left hand menu.

Now type nextgen gallery in the input box and click on Search Plugins.

WordPress will find the NextGEN plugin, and offer an automatic installation.
Click on Install.

The page will ask for a confirmation, click on OK

The NextGEN plugin will now install. Click on Activate Plugin at this screen.

WordPress will now confirm that the NextGEN plugin is now activated.

Now in the left menu, click on Gallery ▷ Options

Then click on Thumbnails

We will set the default Thumbnail settings.
NextGEN gallery saves the original uploaded image files and then creates thumbnails as well. Antler is a large size image template so these numbers are naturally quite big.
As for the image quality, the lower you go, the faster the images will load on people's browsers, however I don't recommend anything lower than 95% (flickr uses 95%) and 100% is over the top and won't show any noticeable difference.
In the image bellow we have filled out our recommended settings, remember to un-tick the Set fix dimension box
Now click Save Changes.

WordPress will now confirm that your Thumbnail settings have been saved.

Please click on Settings ▷ Permalinks in the left hand menu.

Now please choose Post name and click Save Changes.

Now lets Activate the Antler Theme. Please click on Appearance ▷ Themes

Now under Available Themes find Antler, and click the Activate right under it.

WordPress will confirm that Antler has been set as the website theme. Now please click on Antler Options

Now you should be on the Antler Settings page. At the very bottom of the page there is a location to enter your Antler Licence Key. Please enter the Antler Licence Key you were emailed shortly after you made your purchase, and click on Save Changes.
Note: Antler licence keys are processed by hand and may take up to 24 hours to be emailed back to you. Each licence key is specific for each domain.

This concludes Step 3. Antler is now ready to be used.
